About Katrina

Katrina is a Brisbane-based glass artist and the founder of Studio 148 Glass Art, specialising in traditional leadlight and copper foil stained glass techniques.

With over 20 years of experience, her work is inspired by the natural, tranquil environment around her and a deep love of all forms of glass art.

When she’s not teaching in the studio, her dogs are often by her side, keeping her company as she creates.

Katrina is passionate about sharing her craft through relaxed, hands-on workshops that guide students from first cut to finished piece.

Studio 148 Glass Art attracts visitors from across South East and South West Queensland, including Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast.

I have never tried Copper Foiling before. I found the activity very relaxing and Katrina was a great teacher, friendly and very supportive ensuring I was creating my piece so it was completely accurate. I was amazed with the piece I finished which gave a sense of accomplishment. Copper Foiling is a rewarding craft and one I hope to develop in the future.
